The Teacher Speaks to a Crowd in New Jersey by Joseph Mayo Wristen
The man who walks beside the prophet
visits me in my dreams.
Tells me that they will continue to
give us everything we need

until there is nothing left
to give.
Then they plan on killing
us by poisoning our water.

In my dream the man in the
Robe is surrounded
by thousands. He is talking
to them over a loud speaker.

The ashes of light being
better
than the fires of darkness.

Over the screams of fatalism,
you can hear his voice
yelling
to his followers to burn it.
"Burn it
to the ground."
He is asking them to follow
their hearts
to live the life
of their Heroes.

I hear him cry out "your
survival will depend on
your willingness to fight."
