In March 2005 Ginninderra Press published ‘Kaleidoscope’ a collection of Dale’s poems. ‘Kaleidoscope’ can be purchased by visiting Dale’s web site at www.daleharcombe.com.
Many of Dale’s poems have been published in some of Australia’s leading literary journals and newspapers such as Artlook, Southern Review, Westerly, The Canberra Times and others. She has also had poems in several anthologies in Australia and USA and Malaysia. She is currently working on her second collection of poetry as well as a verse novel.
Added to poetry, Dale writes short stories, children’s and YA fiction. ‘Chasing after the Wind,’ her novel for 11-14 year olds, was published by Scholastic in 1997. ‘Karaoke Kate’ for younger readers will be published in 2006.
In 2005 Dale spent as week at Varuna Writers’ Centre in Katoomba, working on an adult novel. She has also written a radio play which was broadcast on several stations in 2005.
Dale has conducted writing workshops in Sydney and Orange. Earlier this year, she ran a weekend poetry workshop at the NSW writers Centre in Rozelle and a daylong creative writing workshop in Morisset.
When she is not writing or conducting workshops, Dale is a manuscript assessor for Driftwood Manuscript Services and The Manuscript Appraisal Agency, as well as a book reviewer. She has reviewed poetry books, children’s and YA fiction and scripts for various magazines.
