Everyday begins,

And I wonder why;

As I think of you,

I began to cry.

It seems so long,

Since I’ve seen your face;

That I feel so lonesome,

And far out of place.

I pray each day,

And I pray each night;

That you would come to me,

And make everything right.

Long ago,

I can remember the days;

When I enjoyed you,

And all of your ways.
*****




Forgetting I can’t,

No matter how I try;

It seems too early,

To say goodbye.
*****
So I keep hoping,

And keep on dreaming;

As my heart grows weary,

And my soul keeps screaming.
*****
So maybe someday,

You will see;

Special in my heart,

Is where you will be.
*****
