I see the signs and wonders,

Appearing over there;

Trials and tribulations,

Happening everywhere.

Yah it won’t be much longer,

I’m almost gone.

My eyes look toward heaven,

As my heart begins to sing;

I wonder if today’s the day,

And what it will bring.

Yah it won’t be much longer,

I’m almost gone.

I wonder how much longer,

He will endure;

For the world has turned against Him,

They don’t love Him anymore.

Yah it won’t be much longer,

I’m almost gone.

They say I should be saddened,

But my heart is filled with joy;

I’m so tired and weary,

I can’t wait to see that Boy.

Yah it won’t be much longer,

I’m almost gone.

It’s getting closer and closer,

When I’ll be going home;

I’m ready to sing the praises,

And sing the Lord my song.

Yah it won’t be much longer,

I’m almost gone.
