Jane Taylor (September 23, 1783−April 13, 1824), was an English poet. She wrote the words for the song Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star in 1806 at age 23.
Jane Taylor lived in Colchester, England. She is remembered as a poet, hymn writer and children's author and, along with her older sister Ann, was responsible for writing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (1806).
