a single clear line of thread
strung by a fisherman
between flower and shrub
a road for her
a line cast for errant prey
caught in the sunlight
this Sunday morning
after the dew had gone to gas
out of the shadows in the courtyard
a line thrown to catch
her breakfast
if they came her way
