carrying out the Christ
on the cross

(Friday)
Another day,
in the church
rich meaning
the words of the Passion
in the Gospel
a dead savior
carried out,
wrapped, placed in the tomb

(Saturday)
Holy Saturday
prepared oils, spices
to anoint His still body
We too, waiting
expectantly, for the morning
