Good Day for a Jog by Raymond A. Foss
“Dad, it’s a good day for a jog” or so I think she said, laughing over her shoulder, heading down the lane, the alley, to the main road, to the corner to the school “Beat Ya!” Oh it was a close race, with her little legs and mine matching strides to pick up her buddy, her older sister But no jog home, no big sissy had penny loafers (or a near equivalent) “Dad, I’ll run out of them,” she said Probably so. No matter; easier to hold her little hand when we aren’t running home But it Was a good day for a jog and better still for spending time with them easy on a busy day
