We were sent
out by the congregation
to be His hands, to be their hands
Down East; putting on His sandals
going where they cannot
to serve the community.
We were, this morning,
reporting in, bringing the faithful
with us on the mission
into the service, the fun,
the fellowship we share
going with us into the world
through our reflections,
our witness of the work
they helped support.
For we need hands and wallets,
feet and prayers
to do the work
of the kingdom, here on earth.
