As Your Breathing Slowed by Raymond A. Foss
I remember those last few moments as your breathing slowed, no longer labored she on the side of your bed, stroking your hair her gentle caresses of your now calm brow drifting to eternity, your girl beside you letting you know it was okay to go I remember your last breath, her gasp as you became still, at peace, in your rest Did you watch over us, as we sat there she still beside you, quieter now, silent rising and falling now of her chest as she cried for herself now, without you who she relied on so much But she was beside you, feeling you near her a comfort in being with you still in those final moments with you
