Imperfect People by Raymond A. Foss

The bible’s story
imperfect people,
able, by God’s grace,
to do extraordinary things
acts of love, by faith alone,
grace heaped, poured out
lessons for all of us,
made real by imperfect messengers
by unworthy kings, stumbling prophets
timid missionaries, converted ones
saints before us, flawed as you and me
willing to be the vessels of God’s love
by grace alone revealed
