Laypeople, like you and me, upon them is our faith, our hope not from the royal priesthood, the ancient bloodlines from the sea, from the fields, from the shops, the stores working people, of the land, hands callused, earning their way, brought to other work by Christ laypeople, building a church, brick by brick, in ways beyond imagination, by miracles in his holy name, raising those who could not walk bringing his praises into the Temple, forcing the authorities to face his power the truth of the risen Lord, with boldness of the Spirit May we follow their example, and do wondrous things
