Words Alone – Blog Action Day by Raymond A. Foss

Words alone, even lofty, holy words
will not change the state of poverty
By word alone, no one will be fed,
unless it is the word of God.

Action, small, grand, whatever you can do
action is required to change this world
to send the food to the hungry, water to the thirsty
Actions are needed, near and far

But let the words, start here, let them lead to action
let the world change, and hearts become open
let all be provided for, none in need
Let the words lead to justice, around the world
