Night coming, too soon, too early
white snow of the church’s roof
indistinguishable, the white-grey clouds behind
night falling, before its hour, the storm coming
sky lowering, falling like a heavy curtain
over the stage, falling weight, glowering,
a storm, more snow, coming in the night
