They who could not see
who did not know, their eyes blind
walking with Christ
on the dusty road, in pain,
suffering at his dying
not yet aware of his rising,
the proof of his life once more

In the act of sharing,
the taking, the blessing, the breaking
and the sharing of the bread
They saw the risen Christ
alive, talking, walking with them
All of his lessons revealed
his life once more
and ours in his resurrection
just as the scripture foretold
