Emboldened by the Spirit
showering down upon them
flames anointing their hearts
commissioning their lives
sending them forth
out into the world

Speaking the Word,
the scriptures all fulfilled
the word of God
made flesh in the Christ

Living, dying, rising again
so that death would lose its sting

Redeemed and reclaimed
by the grace of God
the precious blood of the lamb
poured out for our sin
Shared with all the world
By speaking the holy word.
