Pause, to play and to pray by Raymond A. Foss

The gift of sabbath rest
in moments or a day
spending time away from the world
to pause, to play and to pray
God knows the human heart
the need to rest and renew
Offering a day of rest
for me and for you
Remembering all he did
in creating the world
Knowing in our hearts
he’s walking next to you
In moments of grace
feeling his loving hand
Walking with the Lord
on our earthly path
Spreading the love of God
wherever we may go
Setting time apart
in worship, in time in the word
with family and with friends
all gifts from the Lord
