In this season of harvest
as the bounty of your creation
presenting itself anew
reminding us of your love,
your provision, oh Lord
Mindful, hopeful
our lives turned over to you
trying, in spite of the world,
to be in the world only
to hold our possessions loosely
to be grain, not tares,
not weeds as we grow
as we mature, faithfulness
fealty to your alone, Lord
grain to be gathered in
to your harvest, home
