Dimly by Raymond A. Foss

As if in a mirror, dimly
the images on the screen
the devastation, despair
more than I can comprehend

A scale of loss, of grief
beyond my ken
All I can do is pray
and make my offering

Praying that hope may rain down
that the people would feel the love of God
that relief would come like their tears
that have already fallen down
