In God is my hope
my trust in him alone
my faith rooting in the love of God
the father, spirit, son

My sin too much to bear
my destiny bleak
without the saving of the Christ
never would I see him again

In my salvation
God is my only hope
my heart for the cross
my body doing the worst

Like Paul I know the best
I feel my master’s call
struggling to do my best
I need him, my all in all
