The Sound of Rachel by Raymond A. Foss

Her crying, her anguish
so real, understanding so well
Her cries in the wilderness
her children not answering
a nightmare come to life

So much pain, so much suffering
disasters and strife
the sound of Rachel
crying for her children
what an utter sense of loss
