In the breaking of the bread
in the drinking of the cup
remembering the faithfulness of God
saving the people from slavery
and remembering the sacrifice
the choice of Christ
to drink the bitter cup of our sin
to go to the cross for you and for me
Strengthened by the meal that we share
in the bread and the cup
steeling us for the trials we face
and to be instruments of his love
faithfully going out into the world
Christ’s hands and his feet
offering his message of love
