Not taking the bait by Raymond A. Foss

Though he was tempted
hungry, alone in the desert
Jesus stood strong
calling on the word of God

Not taking the bait
the offerings of the devil
faithful to his path
in spite of his hunger

Reading from the scripture
reproving the devil
putting him on his heels
until a more opportune time
