Through One Man – Part 2 by Raymond A. Foss

Through Christ alone,
fully human and totally divine
the word made flesh
coming to earth
to redeem us of our sin

As one man brought sin into the world
by the choice of Adam to disobey
to eat of the fruit in the garden
to die in knowing good and evil
in choosing to try to be like God

So one man came to save
to right the wrong done
to cleanse us of our sin
for what he did, and all we do,
to make us right with God

God, come to earth
sacrificing himself to God
the son a servant
walking as a man
choosing to go to the cross

One by this one man
the priest, the lamb of God
taking on the sins
since the fall of man
descending into death
rising in victory
