Directly to each of us
as if looking into our eyes
the risen Lord calling to us
to answer his heavenly call

Like Peter and the others
flawed in our history
heavy, naked,
with feet made of clay
yet worthy, disciples
when we turn our wills to God

Tending the sheep,
guiding, feeding the lambs
our into the world
messengers, witnesses
of his amazing grace
to the ends of the earth
