of senseless evil
greed and oppression
stalking the earth
needing to always
walking wisely
modeling good
in every word and thought

In these times
of trouble and sorrow
when the world
is living in shadows
needing to live
as God’s children
walking the road
to the cross, to Calvary

In these times
of hope and promise
the Spirit living
in each believer’s heart
the personal message
of our risen savior
sending us forth
to be messengers of God’s love
