Reconciled on the Cross - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

Bringing the whole world
back to himself
reconciled with God
with the sacrifice on the cross

Infinite God,
the creator of all
Emptied of his divinity
walking the earth as a man

In his submission
that one sacrifice
our past washed away
righteous in the eyes of God
without blemish or stain.

God providing substitute lamb;
Christ becoming the sacrificial lamb
with no substitution;
the pain of the Father on Good Friday
when his son died for us.
