Our Gifts for Others by Raymond A. Foss

The work of the kingdom
to restore our neighbors
all of the world
the children of God

Our gifts for others
our bodies mere vessels
to be filled with God’s love
that grace may be poured out

To be used not hidden
the message to be shared
the love of the creator
for everyone everywhere

my comment posted to this post:
“This is a very powerful message and one that needs repeating. We as Christian deny Christ when we do not live out the Great Commission by creating barriers, stumbling blocks to Christ. We must be sowing joy, not judgment, love not division, hope not condemnation, agape love not the values of the world. Only in this are we fulfilling our call, using our gifts for God's glory.”

“Waste and Grace”,
by Rev. Frank Gulinello, Jr.
“ Jesus’ parable of the Sower focuses on the scattering of the seed.
No matter what kind of ground it falls upon, whether hardpan or
deep rich soil, God will have a harvest yielding a hundred fold.
So, scattering the seed aimlessly is not wasteful in God’s economy.”

Using Our Gifts

spending time in the vineyard, the field,
the orchard, using our gifts, to be messengers,
to be brothers, sisters, to be hands and feet
to be the light in the world, the light to the nations
in our time, in our place, to be the word, the hands
of the savior, the loving hands of God, healing,
lifting, comforting our neighbors, all of them,
lending a hand, a kind word, good works,
and the message of redemption, of saving grace
using the gifts we have been given, all important
to the work of the church, of spreading the good news
to all the nations, all the world

using His gifts

each day, giving praise
thanksgiving to the Lord
using His gifts
to ease our neighbor’s way
their load lifted up
taken away
walking with the Christ
yoked with him
using the gifts
we have been given
each and every day

Within the Spirit of Christ

Dwelling within Christ
each us of with gifts
infused with the Spirit
acting in love
reaching out to the world

All of us different
yet part of one tapestry
an image of Christ
coming into view
the story of our savior
in all we say and do
