Woe to Those by Raymond A. Foss

Part of the story
through the ages
maybe central
to the state of affairs
woe to those
who rely on men
turning away
from almighty God

From the beginning
there in the garden
walking with God
yet turning away
all of the peoples
down through the ages
the choice to follow
of to turn away

Trust in the Lord
in his goodness only
not in the ways of man
merely a stumbling block
Cleave to the rock
our strength through the ages
the Lord alone
in him do we abide
