The temple masters
the keepers of the law
not understanding the nature
what is work at all

Love is not work
something bound by the commands
to be kept apart on the Sabbath
to fail to offer our hand

Healing, compassion
caring for our neighbors
these are love not works
grace given, in Jesus’ loving name
