The Words I Used in Worship - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

In our time together
in holy conversation
the words I used in worship
in how we are to live out
the holy commands of God
in how we are to be conscious
living out the great commission
to go and make disciples
to the ends of the earth

Not so much the end
as the process along the way
that we are to sow the seeds of love
to everyone we meet
that we are to water
that the seeds may grow
but that we are to be faithful
to God who provides the growth

Ours to make disciples
but only to a point
our part important
being servants of our God
needing his intervention
the fruits to be revealed
the changing of each human heart
something only God can know
