Taken for granted
in the developed nations
so many others
not finding water
the living waters
we all need for life
Fading into memory
the passion of this day
will we remember
what we pledged today
to think of our neighbors
to act on their behalf
to focus world attention
on their abiding thirsty
Will we stand
remain at our post
will we forget them
in the deserts
away from our comfort
struggling each day
for find something to drink
