Descending from Heaven
our God as a child
coming to save
the world from itself

All of us guilty
the stain of our sin
under the law
damned for all time

Love come down
descending from heaven
offering hope
that we may live

Washing over us
forgiven, eternal
if we turn from the world
and walk the way of the cross
