Our hands on history
the prints of our nations
all people under dictatorship
able to ask questions
Where were we before
when they were under oppression
why did we stand with
those who stood on their backs
What can we do
now that history is changing
rapid transitions
as the people demand freedom
Needing to be like Jesus
standing with the downtrodden
liberation of the captives
all to breathe free
Shining our light
into that darkness
offering solidarity
a sense of community
All of these people
our sisters and brothers
we must wake up
and side with the people
shaking off their shackles
that they may be free
