What is Happening to this World by Raymond A. Foss
The agents of change
demanding their freedom
the despots refusing
to give it to them

What is happening
to this fragile earth
the signs of change sweeping
all over the world

We must grasp hold
of the change, the freedoms
sweeping over the nations
the people of the earth

Love for our neighbors
hope not our fears
guiding our speaking
our words to our leaders

That the people must be free
to guide their own future
that the chains must be discarded
the despots leaving the stage

We must not stand
with the forces of repression
believing in love
to heal the whole world

Offering our witness
our voices joining
the people yearning
to breathe free
to walk in freedom

We cannot be silent
comfortable in security
we must embrace
what is to be
