With the energies of prayer by Raymond A. Foss
God calling us to be better
to love our neighbor
our enemies when they hurt us
calling on his strength

Not with retribution
but with the energies of prayer
bring out our best selves
guided by God

Offer hope to the people
in standing with them
fighting for our brothers
in the company of men

Align ourselves with the downtrodden
those under the dictator’s boot
showering them both with love
boundless, to change the whole world

Seek their freedom
speaking out against injustice
offering love as our witness
the saving grace of God

Live out our convictions
to love all our neighbors
walking humbly with God
lifting them up from injustice

Caring for the captives
those who are in chains
serving to free them
in his loving name
