Like Paul, we yearn
we struggle for meaning
trying to be righteous
not in the abstract
not in writings
but in the truth
the grace God has given

The one true offering
holy and eternal
the Son here dying
that we may live anew

Born of the Spirit
by the Spirit going
a righteousness given
by the blood on the cross

The sacrifice complete
our change eternal
responding humbly
to act as servants

To go as commissioned
faithfully going
sharing our gifts freely
so all may know Jesus
the restorer of our souls
