Unlike Mary, or Thomas
living after His ascension
the Spirit greater
beyond the limits of incarnation
beyond His physical presence

Belief in the unseen
the physical manifestation of God
unable to touch
to cling to the mortal Jesus
Freed to have faith
in His eternal promise
walking with Him ever
indwelling in our hearts

The love of our Savior
beating with each one of us
it is the kernel of Jesus
that leads us to share
the living water of God’s message
healing us when we believe
brought to our knees before Jesus
wanting to sit at his feet

Rising to offer our witness
to pour out His heavenly love
to walk as Christ’s servants
witnesses to the unseen power
that the whole world may be restored
