Shawn McAllister is an actor, writer, and film producer. A longstanding member of both Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association, he has appeared in more than 25 feature films and television programs and 75 stage productions. He worked several years as a stage manager and/or production manager in South Florida, Pennsylvania and New York, most notably for the Zev Bufman organization. He was an officer with two independent film companies, Earth Productions and Macaw Films. The children's film, "Looking For Trouble," for Roger Corman was one of the feature films he co-produced along with several television pilots. As a writer, he spent three years as a journalist, has ghost written numerous books, and published his autobiography in 1998 under the title, "Surrender the Jealous Mistress." Shawn’s wife of twenty years, Marie, died of colon cancer in 1998. He dedicated the book to her. His latest book, "Hibel: the Life & Art of Edna Hibel," a biographical look at the world renowned artist, was released in the summer of 2006. He has two daughters (Dawn & Stacy), three stepdaughters (Rose, Terry, & Linda), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
