Gets Up Off His Thrown by Gary R. Ferris
When my God gets up off His thrown,
He’ll hear my voice and I won’t be alone.
All the pain and tears that I’ve cried,
Will run and seek desperately to hide. ***** All of those who ever did me wrong,
Won’t be standing anymore where I belong.
And I will no longer remember my strife,
Because my God will give me a brand new life. ***** All the hurt and struggle I’ve been through,
Will be forgotten when my God makes it new.
And my heart will be at peace once again,
When my God is finished with His plan. ***** My enemies will stand afar and see,
And be sorry for the things they did too me.
But I’ll be so full life and joys,
Because my God doesn’t play with little toys. *****
The earth will shake and mountains will bow down,
When my God gets angry and begins to frown.
You will no longer be able to kick His child,
Because His deliverance to me will not be mild. ***** As I wait for the Lord to hear my cry,
And for His nostrils to begin to sigh.
I pity those who wouldn’t leave me alone,
When my God gets up off His thrown.
