In the promise to Noah
seeds of the coming
the need for the Christ-child
our sins to redeem

The living water of his blood
to again wash the world clean
our wickedness to forgive
according to the covenant
so long ago

Never again
to flood the world
all of life to die
Caring for us,
under the rainbow
redeeming us by his love
